Terms of service

These terms apply to all services provided by Nexus Hostel & Tour (“Nexus”, “we”, “us” or “our”), including accommodation at our hostel in Ha Giang, guided Ha Giang Loop tours and the transport we arrange. By confirming a booking, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and every guest included in the booking. Any variation to these terms applies only if confirmed by Nexus in writing, including by email or WhatsApp. The person submitting a booking request must be at least 18 years of age.

All prices are quoted per person in Vietnamese đồng (VND). The inclusions and exclusions of each package are listed on the relevant tour page, and the full price is confirmed before your booking is finalised. A border permit fee of 250.000₫ per person applies to every tour. Where a package includes a pickup bus, this is stated on the tour page; pickups from other locations are charged at the difference in fare. Return transport after the tour is not included, although our team will gladly arrange it on request. Payment is accepted in cash, by bank transfer or by card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express). A 3% surcharge applies to card payments. To pay with a card held by another person, please contact us in advance so that the cardholder's authorisation can be arranged. For your security, please do not send full card numbers or security codes through the website, by email or via WhatsApp. Drinks, gratuities and any other items not included in your package are charged separately, and the price is always communicated before payment.

No licence is required for guests riding with an easy rider. Guests who wish to ride themselves must hold a motorbike licence valid in Vietnam and carry it throughout the tour. All guests must attend the safety briefing before departure and wear the helmet and protective gear provided at all times while riding. Guests must follow the instructions of their tour leader on the road. Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. If the tour leader considers it unsafe for a guest to continue riding themselves, whether due to riding ability, weather or road conditions, the guest may be asked to continue as a passenger with an easy rider. Please inform us before the tour of any health condition, injury, allergy or dietary requirement that may affect your participation, so that appropriate arrangements can be made. The Ha Giang Loop is a mountain motorbike journey and involves inherent risk. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering motorbike riding, medical treatment and emergency evacuation. Guests are responsible for their own conduct and for following safety instructions.

Where several beds are booked together, we will endeavour to allocate them in the same room, subject to availability. A specific room or bed is guaranteed only when confirmed in writing. No deposit is required for room key cards. A fee of 200.000₫ applies if a key card is lost. Towels are provided in every room. A fee of 200.000₫ applies to any towel that is soiled beyond cleaning or damaged. Tour guests receive a dorm bed at Nexus on the night before the tour (Day 0) and may use the shower facilities at Nexus after the tour.

Rooms and facilities are reserved for registered guests, and visitors may not stay overnight. Quiet hours begin at 11:00 PM. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas and is not allowed indoors. Pets are not permitted. Guests are expected to treat staff, fellow guests, host families and local communities with respect, including their cultures and religions. Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused by themselves or their companions. Nexus may require a guest to leave immediately, without refund, in cases of violence, abusive behaviour, theft, drug use, dangerous conduct, intoxication that disturbs others, or refusal to follow these rules, subject to applicable law.

Nexus may update these terms from time to time, and the date of the latest revision will be shown at the top of this page. The terms in effect when a booking is confirmed continue to apply to that booking, unless otherwise agreed with the guest or required by law. Guests' statutory consumer rights are not affected.
