How many days do I need for the Ha Giang Loop?
We offer 3-day and 4-day tours. Both are amazing experiences, but 3 days can feel more physically demanding due to the faster pace and longer final day. We recommend 4 days if you have the time!
What’s the difference between the Social Dorm and Private Room packages?
The standard package includes shared accommodation, while guests are able to upgrade to private rooms to have your own private space. Both let you enjoy the same incredible Loop experience and meet fellow travellers.
Can I extend my tour from 3 days to 4 days?
Of course! Let your tour leader know by Day 2 so they can arrange the extra day and help you seamlessly join a new group. You can pay the price difference when you return to Nexus.
Do I need a motorbike licence?
If you plan to drive yourself, you’ll need the appropriate valid licence and documentation under Vietnamese law. An easy rider option is available if you’d prefer to sit back and enjoy the ride.

You’ll stay in local homestays along the route, giving you the chance to experience local culture and connect with your group.
Where can I store my big backpack or suitcase?
You can safely leave your larger luggage at Nexus while you’re on the tour and take a small day bag (around 20 - 25 Liters) with you.
How much cash should I take?
We recommend bringing around 1.5m–2mVND for extra drinks, snacks and personal purchases and gratuities at the end of the tour if you feel comfortable. Keep in mind that most places do not accept cards.
Do I need towels?
Towels are provided, but feel free to bring a small towel for after we visit the waterfalls in the daytime.
Do I need to bring my passport on the tour?
Yes, bring your passport as it may be required for accommodation registration and checkpoints. Keep it somewhere safe and dry.
